Guts & Glitter

Guts & Glitter (GaG) is the foundation where the artistic work of Barnaby Savage is developed and supported. GaG collaborates with a wide range of artists, thinkers, and performers to create work that reflects on queer history, celebrates not fitting in, and offers space for forms of expression that resist convention.

Driven to connect people to new and challenging experiences and histories, Barnaby’s work focuses on storytelling, imagination, and human connection. His practice-based research asks how audiences can be included through humour, vulnerability, and careful listening — inviting them into shared spaces of reflection, play, and discovery.

The foundation embraces artistic processes that explore intimacy, identity, and the complexity of queer experience, often through multidisciplinary collaboration, unconventional performance formats, and site-responsive installations. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, GaG aims to open up new understandings of queer heritage while creating imaginative and challenging artistic encounters in the present.

GaG applied to the Dutch Tax Administration as a Public Benefit Organisation (ANBI), GaG provides the organisational structure, continuity, and support needed for long-term research, artistic experimentation, and sustainable cultural production. The current policy plan and required ANBI documents can be downloaded from this page.
